OVERVIEW

Whiteboard is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who’s comfortable working across front-end and back-end technologies, and enjoys collaborating with both teammates and clients.

Our work spans web and mobile applications, brand websites, and integrations with modern digital tools. We value proactive team members who love solving problems and can thrive in a collaborative yet independent environment.

Whiteboard is a digital marketing agency based in Chattanooga, TN with a remote-first culture and a passion for building impactful digital experiences. Bonus points if you are in the Chattanooga area and can work on a hybrid work schedule coming into the office occasionally. We value community and our work culture so making time to visit HQ, co-working locations and attending team events is encouraged.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Building and maintaining websites and web apps, often powered by headless CMS platforms (e.g., Sanity, Contentful, Statamic)
• Developing mobile applications, especially using Flutter
• Implementing front-end interfaces using frameworks like React
• Integrating web apps with third-party APIs and external systems
• Participating in client calls, particularly when leading or heavily involved in a project
• Collaborating with our designers, strategists, and other developers to deliver high-quality work

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 3+ years of professional development experience (or equivalent skill level)
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Vue, React, and modern front-end development practices
• Familiarity with mobile app development using Flutter (or interest in learning it quickly)
• Comfort with headless CMS platforms and their integration into frontend architectures
• Strong grasp of API integrations, RESTful services, and system interoperability
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to be solutions minded
• US-based and authorized to work in the US
• Excellent communication skills, especially in client-facing settings
• A self-starter mindset – you can move forward without micromanagement
• A collaborative attitude and eagerness to be part of a supportive team
• A desire to work for redemptive brands and causes
• A sense of humor

BONUS POINTS

• Experience with back-end development (Node.js, Go, Laravel, or other server-side tools/languages)
• Experience with Webflow development or maintenance
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Experience with DevOps or cloud hosting (e.g. Heroku, Firebase, Netlify, AWS)
