Whiteboard sets the stage for the next decade with a new President, new headquarters in Chattanooga, new offices in Atlanta and Nashville

Chattanooga-based creative agency Whiteboard is entering its tenth year of business and opening up new offices in Atlanta, Georgia, and Nashville, Tennessee.

The company partners with clients – including NCR, Airbus, Human Rights Watch, Justice Defenders, Chick-fil-A, Mailchimp, Votivo, Climate Neutral, Purposity, Food for the Hungry, Trilith Studios, Tennessee Aquarium – via lean, fully-dedicated teams that are engaged from conception to launch. Across all facets of the internet—websites, apps, branding, automation, advertising—Whiteboard’s team helps their clients of all shapes and sizes lead digital, end-to-end.

“Amidst all the challenges that surfaced this year for so many people and organizations, it was a year of growth for our team. From helping a Fortune 500 write their remote work playbook to helping a national conference pivot to a 100% virtual experience, from navigating and building an online fundraising strategy for one of the oldest nonprofits in the United States to helping a church movement shift to a digital-first community,” said Eric Brown, cofounder and CVO of Whiteboard. “The unique aspect in celebrating our tenth year of business in 2020 is we’ve experienced a true dichotomy; from grieving with friends who’ve lost family members and experienced layoffs to celebrating work our team has been creating for years receiving national recognition.”

“So much has changed in the digital landscape since starting Whiteboard in 2010. For starters, Apple’s iPhone was barely 3 years old and Facebook wasn’t a public company. The internet’s capacity for high-speed scale comes with great opportunities, but also great consequences. A global pandemic has forced organizations to wholly embrace digital transformation and we help our clients navigate this tension every day,” said Taylor Jones, cofounder, and CEO of Whiteboard. “We believe the organizations that shape the future will be the ones that are the most natively digital. If you want to exist in the future, you must adopt a digital-centric organizational strategy from the inside out.”

In addition to celebrating a decade of business and opening new offices, Whiteboard will continue its dedication to leveraging the internet for social good. This year, Whiteboard’s work for Purposity was featured on the TODAY Show highlighting how the app recognizes community needs and gives neighbors the ability to help. Their work for Justice Defenders, an organization working in 46 prisons in Kenya and Uganda helping tens of thousands of inmates get fair hearings, was featured on CBS’ 60 Minutes.

“There’s always a local and global narrative acknowledged in our portfolio of work,” said Joshua Huggins, President of Whiteboard. “It’s important to remember that Whiteboard started from a kitchen table, zero agency experience, and no investors. We seek out opportunities to serve clients that carry an entrepreneurial spirit in their work, even when those organizations have existed for decades.”

In 2017, Whiteboard became 1 of 2 Certified B-Corporations located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. They partnered with other Tennessee B-Corps to launch B Tennessee, a group of Certified B Corporations from across the State of Tennessee working to foster and deepen connections among organizations in their region who share their purpose and passion for using business as a force for good. In Atlanta, Whiteboard sparked a partnership with Plywood People, a nonprofit that helps start-ups seeking to have a positive change in culture.

Whiteboard is organized into three studios that specialize in Digital Branding, Digital Experiences, and Digital Activation, giving their team the unique capacity to help organizations lead digital end-to-end. Their team drives strategy, designs brands, develops websites, builds apps, launches campaigns, tells stories, trains teams, and more. In all things, they are focused on helping visionaries create digital experiences that advance their vision for the future.
