Whiteboard partnered with the Creative Forum of Nashville to design a truly spellbinding promotional piece for their 2001 Portfolio Show. Drawing inspiration from late 1800s magic posters, we created a design that matched the collection of talent and skills represented at the event. The poster featured innovative elements including glow-in-the-dark ink and a hidden visual trick - extremely stretched type that becomes legible only when viewed at an extreme angle, revealing 'You are cordially invited to the Portfolio Show.' The limited edition run of 1000 was letterpress printed in our studio, with the challenging process of mixing glow-in-the-dark powder into the ink requiring persistence and skill to achieve the stunning final result.
