We partnered with TED Conferences to create a flexible website platform that makes it easy to add events and update details without heavy development effort while reflecting their creativity and innovation for each unique event. Working closely with their team in the rapidly-evolving conference industry, we developed custom CMS-friendly templates that equip the TED team to enter necessary information and assets without accounting for development complexities. Our collaboration resulted in a robust component system allowing the team to upload brand elements including animated illustrations to each conference page, creating conference-unique assets within a cohesive TED brand framework. Through strategic visual language that inverts the typical TED color scheme using black backgrounds with white text, we helped elevate gorgeous conference photography in compelling ways while achieving remarkable results: a 20% conversion rate compared to the 2% average for websites, positive reception from both internal teams and users, and a scalable system that empowers their team to maintain dynamic, visually-compelling digital homes for their industry-leading conferences.
