Unused rebrand concept for human rights organization

Concept design for non-profit organization rebrand
In the world's largest democracy, 250 million Dalit people are denied freedom, justice, and human dignity because they are considered 'untouchable.' After 3,000 years of oppression, they are standing up for their children's rights to live in freedom and dignity. The Dalit Freedom Network works to support this transformation, and their US branch approached Whiteboard for a complete rebrand. Our design concept grew from the powerful fact that 'untouchable' Dalits must drink from small clay cups that are destroyed after use, preventing others from accidentally drinking after them. Whiteboard's design team developed the idea of taking broken cup shards and reassembling them into new dynamic shapes filled with potential — a visual metaphor for transformation and renewal. While this design was ultimately not implemented, as DFN decided to unify worldwide offices under existing identity, the concept powerfully captured the organization's mission of rebuilding broken lives into new possibilities.
