Comprehensive website design and development for children's autism learning center with scalable community platform
Whiteboard partnered with Lighthouse Kids to create a comprehensive website that serves the autism community across all developmental stages, addressing the critical need for accessible resources and meaningful connections. The project centered on building a scalable digital platform that can grow with the organization as they expand locations and develop new internal programs. Our design and development approach prioritizes functionality and usability for diverse users including caregivers, family members, and physicians who require different types of information and interaction capabilities. The website serves as a central resource hub that encourages community connection through interactive features, event promotion, and structured communication tools. Interactive forms throughout the site allow caregivers to specify their engagement preferences and communication needs, while integrated calendars facilitate connections within the Lighthouse Kids community. The design direction draws directly from the Lighthouse Kids logo, utilizing a playful slab serif font for impactful headings paired with clean Raleway sans serif for body text that meets modern digital accessibility standards. Beyond development, we equipped the Lighthouse Kids team with comprehensive training and tools to independently manage and expand their website as the organization continues to grow and serve the autism community.
