Bold new identity for 50+ year research institution driving community change through data
For more than 50 years, the Ochs Center has been bringing breakthrough data that changes the way Chattanooga thinks. As an independent collaborative of researchers and strategists, they customize each project with resources from executive and university groups, rigorously applying both timeless and new methodologies to deliver reliable, relevant, and actionable data. Their mission focuses on improving education, public safety, and quality of life in the region while helping clients understand and predict thinking and behavior. When the center needed a visual identity that matched their forward-thinking approach, Whiteboard partnered with them to create a bold new personality. The challenge was developing a symbol, color palette, and typography that would reflect the center's evolving direction while honoring their established reputation for rigorous research. Our solution created a distinctive mark that captures both the analytical precision of their work and the transformative impact of their insights. The resulting identity positions the Ochs Center as a modern, dynamic research institution that bridges academic rigor with practical application, supporting their mission of bringing data-driven change to the community.
